Skills Programmes

Skills programmes form a valuable part of learning, as they allow learners to become competent in meaningful chunks of learning while they build up to obtaining a full qualification.

A single unit standard can also form a basis of a skills programme if this is required. What is needed for implementation is a learning programme and assessment guide for the skills programmes as part of its curriculum. Only accredited providers can offer any unit standards based training whether it is for full qualification or for a skills programme of one or more unit standards.
