Overview

The Durban Office has been set up to take care off CHIETA activities in KZN and the E Cape.The CHIETA’s vision and mission are informed by the National Skills Development Strategy as well as other developmental initiatives within SA which then informs the strategic objectives of the CHIETA.

This alignment is then extended to precipitate the Regional Strategy/Projects which are:

• Stakeholder Support and Services
• Promoting Partnerships
• Implementation Of Divisional Objectives

Our actions to ensure effectiveness revolve around:

• Improving Stakeholder Participation
• Capacity Building of SDCs, SDFs, Unions and other relevant stakeholders
• Ensuring relevance and quality of provision
• Meaningful engagements with relevant NGOs, CBOs, Co-Ops and critical interest groups
• Effective Marketing and Communications
• Establishing strategic partnerships between Private, HET, FET providers and Industry
• Retention and Expansion of Sector Companies
• To support and conduct relevant research
