The purpose of CHIETA’s Research unit is to contribute meaningful and relevant data to the pool of existing information on the state of skills and factors affecting skills demand and supply within the Chemical Industries Sector.
CHIETA views the role of the unit as a critical aspect of its efforts to implement the National Skills Development Strategy through the development of a reliable, annually updated Sector Skills Plan (SSP).
Various internally driven and outsourced research projects are carried out in order to generate current and accurate data for the development and update of the SSP.
CHIETA believes that the participation of all its stakeholders is critical to the success of this effort, and encourages member companies, government departments, unions, providers and other critical interest goups to take part in research surveys and contact the research unit with any information that may assist our research processes. |
