1. ABET SME PROJECT

A special project, funded through the CHIETA Discretionary Grants Reserve that allows for the provision of Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) of learners in SMEs across the country.

2. BURSARIES

The CHIETA offered bursaries to participants on the old NSF Science, Education and Technology bridging programme from matric into HET. The bursaries are linked to scarce and critical skills.

3. SHUTDOWN NETWORK FORUM (SNF) ESDLE PROJECT

The SNF ESDLE Project is a flagship project of the CHIETA in collaboration with the Oil, Gas and Chemical Manufacturing (OG & CM) companies that entered its second year in the period under review. Aimed at addressing the training of artisans in the chemical and liquid fuels industry, primarily to create a national pool of contract labour to meet the petro-chemical construction and annual shutdown demands, through related CHIETA learnerships at NQF L2 and L3.
