Vacancy -  ICT Intern in the ICT Department (24 Months Internship)

An exciting Internships exist at the CHIETA Head Office. This position will be responsible for various administrative and Information Technology support duties within the IT business unit and the CHIETA Staff respectively

Requirements: A completed Qualification in Information Technology, A+ or N+

Experience: Graduates with no relevant work experience and in need of Internship programme will be considered

Knowledge: • Computer literacy skills (MS Office) are essential and ICT Related Software

Skills & Behavioural competencies:
Planning and organisation skills • Self-motivated and can meet deadlines, Works well under pressure;
Communication (oral and written); Accurate and detail orientated; • Can work independently and be a team player; Interpersonal Skills, Integrity and Professionalism

Key Performance Areas:
• Assisting the ICT Support unit daily support activities.
• Assist with minor maintenance requirements.
• Provide ICT support to all business units.
• Assist in facilitation, coordinating of user gathering requirements.
• General administrative duties within the ICT Unit such as:
o Ensure that all documentation relating to the ICT Unit activities are filed and stored appropriately.
o Secure appointments with various business units.
o Arranging and taking minutes in writing.
o Assist with gathering and first line validation of all reports that are for statutory requirements.
o Assist with minor housekeeping functions (hardware and software).
o Assist with users via remote control
o Consolidation of all unit reports.

Knowledge: • C#, JSON, XML, REST, MVC frameworks, Angular, Javascript, JQuery are essential.

Vacancy - 04 (Four) Administration Interns (Fixed term contract for 24 Months)
 

The CHIETA Gauteng Regional Office has 04 (Four) exciting Internships. The aim of these positions is to assist the Gauteng Regional Office with administrative tasks. These positions report directly to the Regional Manager (GP). Candidates who meet the position's criteria are invited to apply.

 

Requirements: A minimum of a completed qualification in Business Administration/Business Management or equivalent.
Experience: Preferably graduates with no work experience.
Knowledge: Computer literacy skills (MS Office) are essential.
Stipend: R7 000.00 (Seven Thousand Rands) per month.

Key Performance Areas

• Receive and check submitted evidence for payment recommendations from the RSA’s.
• Filling of evidence and keeping the records of the discretionary and mandatory grants in a safe and proper manner.
• Improve documentation traceability.
• Submit learners’ contracts for enrolment to on a daily basis and follow up on enrolment numbers and QALA.
• Assist RSA’s and administrators with making copies and scanning documents submitted for payments and SQMR.
• Respond to calls and basic request from stakeholders and assist with DG and MG related issues.
• Assist with arrangements pertaining to regional meetings/events.
• Travel and accommodation bookings for Regional Skills Advisors and Regional Manager.
• Assists as per allocation to man the CHIETA reception desks and receive/dispatch documents.
• Processing of payments, invoices, and submission as per Supply Chain Management processes and procedures.

Vacancy - Chief Financial Officer (Fixed term contract until 31 March 2025)

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent in this position will formulate and execute the CHIETA’s financial strategy, policies,
and guidelines, that support the commercial success, compliance to PFMA and related finance principles as well as
managing the introduction of financial best practice’s governance, accounting, and treasury standards in accordance with
the Public Finance Management Act that will ensure the CHIETA’s long-term financial viability and sustainability. This role
calls for a candidate who possesses the relevant strategic leadership competencies and experience, supported by the
ability to work under pressure, and has a performance- driven mindset and demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills,
are encouraged to apply.

 

Requirements:

• Must be a Chartered Accountant; and Member of SAICA.
• 7-10 years’ experience within financial strategic leadership gained either in the public or private sectors.
• Knowledge of and proven experience of applicable skills development legislation, Governance Frameworks, financial
  regulations, and the governance management frameworks.
• Proven track record of performing within a diverse and dynamic internal and external work environment.
• Knowledge of the Chemical and related Sectors.
• Track record in functioning within an executive team and ensuring performance and integrated service delivery on a
  national and regional level.
• Proven experience in planning, assessment, evaluation, accreditation, monitoring and reporting.
• Proven and sound financial and risk management skills
• Ability to lead and manage change. • Results driven • Exceptional problem-solving ability and the ability to network
  and build relationships • Ability to communicate at all levels. • Exceptional report writing skills • Ability to lead and
  motivate the Finance and Supply Chain Management teams and promote and sustain teamwork for obtaining
  deliverables.
 

Key Performance Areas: 

• Responsible for the formulation of the CHIETA’s Financial Strategy and guide the Governing Board.
• Oversee Budget development and PFMA’s compliance.
• Oversee supply chain and related transactions Compliance, Reporting and financial statements for auditing.
• Guide management on management accounting, grants disbursements and statutory reporting.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of Policies, Systems and Governance Processes
• Ensures and Oversee Compliance and Risk Management.
• People Management and Leadership to the Finance and Supply Chain Management teams
